I undertake to
- comply with the Code of Conduct,
- communicate and promote the rules of conduct within my area of work and responsibility,
- immediately report any suspicions, concerns or incidents to the designated child protection officer.
I will
- help create a safe, respectful and supportive environment for children and young people, both offline and online,
- take the opinions, needs and concerns of children and young people seriously,
- treat all children and young people with respect and appreciation,
- organise activities in a transparent way and avoid unobserved one-to-one situations wherever possible,
- protect the dignity, privacy and personal data of children and young people,
- act responsibly when taking and publishing photos and videos,
- remain alert to possible boundary violations or risks to children and young people,
- actively contribute to the protection of children and young people.
I will never
- misuse my position, role or influence,
- physically punish or humiliate children or young people,
- use physical, psychological, emotional or sexualised violence,
- engage in sexual acts with children or young people,
- expose children or young people to pornographic material,
- use inappropriate, sexualised or degrading language,
- make sexual innuendos or engage in ambiguous behaviour,
- establish relationships that could be understood as exploitative or abusive,
- spend an unreasonable amount of time alone with individual children or young people,
- tolerate discriminatory, dangerous or abusive behaviour,
- ask children or young people for favours that could be understood as exploitative or inappropriate.
Duty to report
I consider myself responsible for protecting children and young people and undertake to immediately report any information, observations or suspicions to the designated child protection officer.
